在炮兵服役37年，看见很多好人好事。37 years of service in the
artillery, I saw a lot of good deeds.
腓立比书 4章，第8节
弟兄们，我还有未尽的话。凡是真实的，可敬的，公义的，清洁的，可爱的，有美名的。若有什么德行，若有什么称赞，这些事你们都要思念。

admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
哈山上士是P连的连上士，在炮兵称为BSM (Battery Sergeant Major)。第一天来到达曼裕廊营，没有被哈山上士虐待(Tekan)。哈山上士不像别的BSM ，乘机虐待(Tekan)新来报到的学员，要新学员做一些无聊的动作，例如上军车和下军车几十次，借此无聊的动作，以为可以建立长官的形象与威严。每批从士官学校完成士官课程，新任中士, 来火炮训练翼报到，继续接受炮兵班长课程，新来报到第一天，必定被火炮训练翼的BSM和指导员虐待(Tekan), 拿着行军袋上军车和下军车几十次，之后，制服上的两巡中士军阶, 被扯了下来。
哈山上士的好印象深深留在我的记忆。弟子规：见人善, 即思齐。回首37年在炮兵，1972年2月1日我擢升为上士，1974年从SSG
Ayub Bin Abu Baker 接任为技术助理训练翼BSM，当新学员来报到，我总想起哈山上士，我以哈山上士为榜样，没有乘机会虐待(Tekan)新来报到的学员。
Sgt Hasan
was our BSM. The first day came to Taman Jurong Camp, we
were not been abused (Tekan) by Sgt
Hasan. Unlike other
BSMs, who took the opportunity to
abuse (Tekan) the
new trainees reporting for courses. They made new
trainees to do some silly actions, for example, loading and
unloading the military vehicles many
times, They thought it could set a
superior image. Every batch of NCOs
from SISL (School of Infantry Section Leaders), fresh
new Corporal (Cpl), reporting
to artillery training wing, to continue to receive artillery detachment commanders’ course,
reporting on the very first day, they
were abused (Tekan)
by their artillery instructors
and the BSM, The new Cpls were made to carry their Alibaba bags load and unload the military vehicles
many times, and after
that their newly sew two stripes Cpl rank on their
uniforms were been torn down by their artillery
instructors.
Sgt Hasan’s first good impression remained deeply in my
memory. Disciples regulations (弟子规：见人善, 即思齐):
When we see good points of others, we should strive to emulate them. Looking back 37 years in the artillery, On
February 1, 1972 I was promoted to sergeant, and in 1974 from SSG Ayub Bin Abu
Baker I took over as BSM TA training wing, when the new trainees reporting for
courses, I always think of Sgt Hasan who I took as an example, I did not abuse
(Tekan) trainees.
