India 8 Days Tour: Day 4 (Depart Srinagar).

每间船屋有3间客房, 客房里有浴间, 我们一共是16人, 要住3船屋9间房. 因为团友中有一位单身女士, 和一位新加坡领队Mr Raynald, 两人各住一间客房, 其他14人是夫妻或姐妹, 分别住7间客房.

Each houseboat had 3 bedrooms with bathroom. 16 of us, taken 9 bedrooms in 3 houseboats, because there were a single lady and the Singapore tour leader, Mr Raynald, both had to live in a bedroom each, and remainder 14 were either husband and wife or sisters, taken 7 bedrooms.

每间船屋有一管家打理住客要求. 如果我们是自由行住客, 不是团伙, 我们可以向那位船屋管家点菜, 他也是一位好厨师, 为住客烹饪食物.

Each houseboat had a butler to take care of the guests’ requirements. If we were individual walk-in guests, not a group, we could order food from the butler a la carte, who was also a good chef.

这两天, 住在船屋客房, 宾至如归, 每当我们回到船屋客房, 那位船屋管家马上为住客生火点燃烧木材暖气炉. 为了表示满意, 我们都各自给那位船屋管家小费.

The past 2 days, we felt great hospitality living on the houseboats, and whenever we returned to the houseboats, the houseboats’ butlers immediately started fire on the wood-burning heating furnace. In order to express our satisfaction, we gave tip to the houseboats’ butlers individually.

离开斯利那加的前一天晚上, 那位是斯利那加导游和我们围铙着烧木材暖气炉闲谈, 很耐心的为我们说明安检的细节: 前往机场路上有一安全保卫站, 检查所有的行李和出示机票才能通行, 进机场时又一次检查所有的行李和出示机票, 出境时又一次检查所有的行李和出示机票, 护照.

The night before our departure, the Srinagar tour guide briefed us as we grouped around the wood-burning heating furnace. He showed patience for the details of the security checks - a security station on the way to the airport, they would check all baggage and we have to produce air tickets and passport to proceed, and at the airport, again check all baggage and we have to produce air tickets and passports, and finally at the immigration counter, again check all baggage and produce air tickets and passports to leave the country, and so on.

第4天, 14/02/2013, 我们0500hrs起床, 0530hrs用早餐, 0600hrs退房.很多人为我们搬运行李, 免不了付些小费. 16人分坐同样那两部小型巴士, 离开Dal湖, 出发去机场. 我们乘搭Jetkonnect, S24105, 国内航班飞往德里.

Day 4, 14/02/2013, we got up at 0500hrs, 0530hrs Breakfast, 0600hrs Checked-out many people carried our luggage, and inevitably we had to pay tips. 16 of us loaded in the same 2 mini-buses and we left Dal Lake for the airport.  we took a Jetkonnect, S24105, domestic flights to Delhi.

India 8 Day Tour: Day 3 (The shikara pleasure ride).

我们平安回到Dal湖3间船屋旅馆. 休息一回儿后, 1630hrs再登上华丽小船(shikara), 四人坐一shikara 游Dal湖.

We were safely returned to the houseboats at Dal Lake. After a short rest, at 1630hrs, we boarded on those gorgeous boats - shikara, 4 people to a shikara – for a shikara pleasure ride on Dal Lake.

有很多贩卖物产的shikaras跟随我们, 不厌其烦的向我们推销当地的物产, 例如宝石, 首饰, 围巾, 帽子. 由于价格不贵, 团友们多多少少买了些, 皆大欢喜.

Many sale shikaras followed us and they patiently promote their goods to us, such as precious stones, jewelry, scarves, hats, and the prices were inexpensive (100 - 300 Rp, SGD 2 – 10), many of us bought somethings, and more or less made them happy.

不只是坐shikara游Dal湖, 我们在几处停留, 看手工艺品制造过程, 买花生和豆类, 干果等等.

We were not just a shikara pleasure ride on the Dal lake, we were stopped at places  to see handicrafts manufacturing process and to buy peanuts and beans, dried fruit, and so on.

At the foot of the mountain where we were issued the winter clothes and snow boots. 在这里, 借给我们冬衣和雪地靴.

13/02/2013 (星期三, Wednesday, Rabu):

India 8 Day Tour: Day 3 (Being attacked).

我们没有投诉那一顿差强人意的午餐, 随随便便吃过午餐, 1300hrs, 16人加上3名导游(1位是Srinagar 导游, 2位是雪山导游), 一共19人, 挤上小型巴士, 下山去也.

Nobody complaint about the packed lunch. After lunch at 1300hrs, 16 of us plus 3 tour guides (1 Srinagar guide and 2 Gulmarg guides), a total of 19 people squeezed into the small bus, we left Hotel Gulmarg Sahara and down the mountain.

回到山脚, 下巴士, 把借给我们的冬衣和雪地靴, 物归原主, 还给那两位雪山导游.

Bus brought us back to the foot of the mountain where we were issued the winter clothes and snow boots . We returned the items to the 2 Gulmarg guides.

16人和1位是Srinagar 导游, 回到那两部小型巴士, 出发回Dal湖对岸下塌的3 间船屋旅馆.

16 of us with the Srinagar tour guide, loaded into the 2 mini-buses, we started to go back to the Dal Lake Houseboat.

在回途中, 开车前进大约45分, 我们遇见暴乱, 在一封锁路检站, 我们的两部小型巴士被命令转回头, 在一公里外停留在一间服饰店外, 等候了一个多小时.  

On the way back, about 45 minutes travelling, we met a riot, at a road block check point, our 2 mini-buses were ordered to made a U-turn, we waited 1km away at a garment store, we waited there for more than an hour.

那位是Srinagar 导游说他和服饰店老板磋商, 要求他向暴民领袖请个人请让乘載了16名新加坡旅客的两部小型巴士通过, 不要向他们攻击.

Our Srinagar tour guide said he had spoken to the garment store owner in consultation, asking him to please the mob leaders to let 2 mini-buses which were carried 16 Singaporean tourists to pass through, and not to attack them.

Srinagar 导游说那位服饰店老板是一位德高望重的社会领袖.

The Srinagar tour guide said, the garment store owner was a highly respected community leader.

那位服饰店老板非常好客, 虽然我们没有进服饰店, 因为我们都不想买衣服, 不想给人一个空希望和失望. 可是, 服饰店老板叫伙记捧茶出来招待我们.

The owner of the garment store who was very hospitable. Although we did not enter his shop, because we did not want to buy clothes, and we did not want to give an empty hope and disappointment to the shopkeepers. However, the owner of the garment store sent shopkeepers out served us tea.

等了一个多小时, 在1530hrs, 我们的两部小型巴士再开动前进, 在路上, 街道两旁站满民众, 良民和暴民难分, 我们被几位顽童用石头抛掷和故意用棒球打向我们在行驶中的两部小型巴士.可能是不准攻击的命令不能有效的从上传达下去.

We waited for more than an hour, at 1530hrs, 2 mini-buses started to move again, there were many people stood along the street, both innocent civilians and the mob, difficult to distinguish, several children throw stones and intentionally hit with a baseball at us traveling in 2 mini-buses. Probably the order “Not to attack the 2 Singaporean Buses” could not be effectively communicated to bottom from the top.

我们车被石头击中, 这是在斯利那加最难忘的一天, 还好, 我们平安回到Dal湖对岸的3 间船屋旅馆.

Our buses were hit by stones, It was the most memorable day in Srinagar, however, we were safely returned to the houseboats at Dal Lake.
