An account of an old ailment
Monday, 02 July 2012, I had some uncomfortable (pain) on my right knee. In the afternoon (1300 - 1500hrs) I took a bus No. 99 to see a doctor at Jurong Polyclinic.
I was able to walk and take the bus, but once I alighted from the bus, suddenly, my right leg failed to support my weight - I had a sharp pain on my right knee. At Jurong Polyclinic I asked for a wheelchair to maneuver because my right knee pain turned severe, I was unable to walk. After seeing the doctor and I collected the medicine, I had to buy a walking stick to walk and took a taxi home.
Surely, many brothers and sisters on Sundays saw I walked with a walking stick in the Church.
For 8 years (2012 - 2020), after everyday regular physiotherapy exercises my right knee no more pain.
Tuesday, 18 August 2020, to my boggle, my left knee was all the while very healthy without any problem*, the same phenomenon happened to my left knee. It started on Saturday, 15 August 2020, when I walked to Boon Lay Shopping Centre to buy a fluorescent tube. I felt a slight discomfort on my left knee.
I was still able to carry on morning/noon/evening walking exercises as usual on 16 and 17 August without pain on my right knee, but I felt left knee had some uncomfortable.
Tuesday, 18 August 2020, in the morning, I experienced a similar sharp pain on my left knee that I have experienced 8 years ago at the entrance of Jurong Polyclinic.
I had suspended walking exercises.
Monday, 24 August 2020. Today, I went to see a doctor at Pioneer Polyclinic, I was accompanied by my wife, Joyce, and my daughter who drove and sent us to and fro.
After I had taken the medicine, I felt relief pain from left leg big toe.
I would give myself a good rest before resume walking exercises.
[*I had pain on the big toe on my left foot in 2017 while I was in the USA and in Vietnam in 2015 respectively.]
