I am a Green Shoots Volunteer Counselor

At the annual get together of Green shoots, I enjoyed the meeting and the sharing with the fellow members of Green Shoots. I briefly accounted for my former career in the Singapore Artillery as an instruction for 37 years and how I was recruited to join the Green shoots by COL (Ret) Michael Lim, the former Chief of Artillery (2000 to 2004). This is my 5th year (2020) volunteered myself as a counselor for aftercare.  I have a purposeful volunteer work with my past 37 years of experience put into my volunteer work. Thank God for His calling. Amen.

Green Shoots Aftercare

I partnership with LTC (Ret) Kok Wai Tong to Green Shoots aftercare on 11 January 2020.

I would be 70-year-old the next day, I determined to be an obedient soldier in my 37 years in the SAF. I set KPI (goal) and worked towards the KPI (goal) so that I could write an honest annual report for my boss's evaluation and assessment.

After I retired from the SAF for 11 years, again, I set KPI (goal) for my daily life, I had purpose every day - keep fit exercise, reading, worship God and pray to God.

To the Green Shoots, I envied their youth and I advised them to set a goal for their life and strive to their desired goal.

To God be the glory. Amen.
