Date and Hospital: 2 – 4 July 2026 at Ng Teng Fong General
Hospital.
A brief report
Before 26 June 2026, I had great difficulty defecating every
day. From 11:30 am on 26 June I went to the toilet every hour but was unable to
defecate. Finally at 3:00 am on 27 June I had a bowel movement. It was a very
hard, large amount of stool (approximately 1 kg). There was no blood in the
stool at that time.
27 June I went see doctor at Pioneer Polyclinic. The doctor
asked if I wanted an anal examination; I said no because she was a female and
thought nothing serious, and I only ask for stool softener medication. For the
following 2 days on 28 and 29 June bowel movements were normal. However, next 3
days on 30 June, 1 and 2 July, I found blood
in stool.
On 2 July I went to Pioneer Polyclinic. After the anal
examination, the doctor (male doctor) immediately wrote letter for me to go to
the emergency, Ng Teng Fong Hospital.
I warded for 3 days (2 – 4 July) at Ng Teng Fong Hospital,
underwent a endoscopic surgery.
I was discharged on 4 July after 13:00 pm. Mr Alfred Chong,
a member of SAFVL, came to fetch me. For patient’s safety, needed accompany
when discharge from hospital whenever possible.
