37 years served in Singapore Artillery
My OC TAW and My CO Sch of Arty (我回想起一位前上司)
End of Year Thanksgiving Fellowship, allowed brothers and
sisters-in-Christ express their thanks by saying the words of Thanks to God. We
were break into 2 groups of 35, formed
in circle take turn to speak.
My sharing and I thank God for: (1) I had had a lifelong
of 37 years career in the SAF, (2) I completed the New Year Resolutions for
2016 over the past year, (3) I set New Year Resolutions for 2017 that I will
sleep immediately at the end of Channel 8 News at 2230hrs and will adhere to The
FCF Bible Reading Plan, (4) My right knee had recovered after I carried out
physiotherapy every day, (5) My BMI is near ideal, and (6) I can read, write and
think.
Brother John (not the real name) praised me, said that he
wanted to learn from me the way of presentation, by point form to express idea.
Here, I recalled Sir Kam Heng, who was my former Boss, OC
TAW in 1973 and CO Sch of Arty 1985. Sir Kam Heng led the TAW at Taman Jurong
Camp, and shifted TAW to Kangaw Camp in 1974. He put me in 10th FAOCC when I
posted back to Sch of Arty, from 21 SA after completion of RSM tour in 1985.
Sir Kam Heng kept a pocket black book to jot down ideas
where and when that come across. He would refer to the pocket black book to
conduct the AAR (After Action Review, or known as debrief). I had learned this
method from Sir Kam Heng, a very good method for public speaking, didn't beat
around the bush.
Thank God for His daily grace & counting my blessings，Give thanks daily & rejoice in the
Lord always!
成年团契岁末感恩聚会，让弟兄姐妹开口说出感恩的话语，向神感恩。我们分成两组，每组35人，围个圈轮流发言。
我的分享和感恩是：（1）我这一生有一份安定的职业，（2）我完成过去一年许下的新年计划，（3）我再许下早睡早起和教会的读经计划，（4）我的右膝盖经过物理治疗，已经康复，（5）我的体重将近理想，和（6）我能读，能写和能思想。
约翰弟兄（不是真名）称赞我，说要向我学习说话的方式，一点一点的把要说的话表达出来。
在这里，我回想起一位前上司。他身上有一本袖珍记事簿，记下任何时候有想法，他用记事簿做汇报。 我从这位前上司学到了这种方法，这是一种非常好的公开演讲方法，没有东拉西扯。
